HTTPort allows to use virtually any Internet software from behind an HTTP proxy. Local software connects to HTTPort at local host as if it was the remote server it needs. HTTPort creates a tunnel through a proxy and runs the connection through it. This is absolutely transparent for both local software and remote 'tunneled' server. The new version has a built-in SOCKS server, which now makes it possible to use ICQ and FTP directly through HTTPort. It also has a data encryption feature which makes tracing HTTPort activity practically impossible. HTTPort supports the following software (not limited to this list, as said above, supports anything, this list is just an example): E-mail, ICQ, IRC, FTP, news, SOCKS, AIM, telnet, etc. etc. |
